Lou Mintzer is the official self-appointed Lake Norman Alligator Control Officer, not supported by any state, federal, county or municipal government. Appointed in 2002, Lou volunteered for this dangerous position. He spends lots of time on the lake fishing, boating and verifying alligator sightings.
